Meet the Masters: Prestigious Camp Features 3 National Masters
Hosted by the Summit School of Chess and MasterMind Chess, this prestigious camp features not one, not two, but THREE National Masters with a combined 15 Colorado State Chess Championships between them! This camp is the perfect opportunity for students and kids of all skill levels to improve their chess game and have a blast doing it.
Schedule and Curriculum: Chess Lessons, Games, Exercises, and Physical Activities
The camp takes place on two separate weeks, from Monday, June 19, 2023 – Friday, June 23, 2023, and Monday, July 17, 2023 – Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden, CO. The camp will have a daily schedule of chess lessons, games, exercises, physical activities, and snack breaks. The curriculum is created specifically for each of the three skill levels: Beginners, Intermediate Players, and Advanced Players.
Fun and Creative Teaching: Learning Important Chess Concepts
The entire camp is organized around the concept of teaching important chess concepts and ideas in fun and creative ways, utilizing games, trivia, and more to help the students retain the information they are being given. At the conclusion of these camps, the students will have mastered the concepts being taught while having a blast!
Personalized Coaching: Small Groups and Individual Attention
This June and July camps are being limited to 50 students per camp with 3 National Master coaches and three assistant coaches to keep the student/teacher ratio 8:1. This way, the coaches can focus on each student as an individual, helping them improve their skills in a personalized way.
